Patrick Ryder a 197cm, 90kg defender made his AFL debut in 2006. He was recruited from East Fremantle (WA) and now plays for the Essendon Bombers. He was born in 1988.

Defender-turned-ruckman, Patty Ryder will have to shoulder even more of the ruckload with further injuries to Tom Bellchambers and Jayson Laycock. Ryder has stepped up to average 90ppg this year, so he makes for an excellent fantasy option. But you have to figure the increased workload make cause him to break down later in the year.
