During the 2008 AFL Finals, Footy Post is running a Finals Tipping competition. You can enter and view the competition on our homepage - www.footypost.com.au.

Entering the Competition
Entering the competition is easy - sign up and login to Footy Post, then predict each match result and the winning margin for all games, including the Grand Final and hit the Save Your Tips button. It's that simple. But keep in mind, all this has to be done before the first game of the final series kicks off.

For example, if Geelong plays the Kangaroos in the first Qualifying Final and you believe Geelong will win by 25 points, click on Geelong, enter a margin of 25 and Geelong will move into the Preliminary Final round, whilst the Kangaroos will move into the Semi Final round in your competition bracket. From there, move onto the next match and pick the winner... and so on. And don't forget to hit Save Your Tips once you are done.

Once the first final series match starts, the competition will go into "lockdown" and you will not be able to alter your selections. You can, though, keep track of your progress and your rank all on the Footy Post homepage.

Terms and Conditions
1. Only one Footy Post member account per person can be created and duplicate entries will be void.
2. The winning member must have their prize posted to an Australian address.
3. The winning member will be announced within 48 hours after the Grand Final has been completed and notified by email.
4. The winning member will be given 14 days to claim their prize, otherwise a new winner will be selected as per the competition rankings.
5. The winning member cannot be a Footy Post staff member, family of a staff member or friend of a staff member.
6. Entry is only open to residents of Australia aged eighteen or over.
7. Competition entry will begin 01/09/2008 at 00:01AM EST and closes 05/09/2008 at 7:00PM EST.
8. The judges decision is final and no further correspondence will be entered into.  The prize is not transferable or exchangeable for cash.

Good luck in your predictions and enjoy the competition!

The competition is kindly supported by lottos.com.au.  For more competitions make sure you visit that site ;)

But seriously, its a great site.  I never knew there was that much free stuff out there.  And Scotty, you know you can't win this one?

Jeeez, that's solid tipping. Yeah, you'd be right up there... I think the best margin is about 50 points or so.

I can't win though, I got 2 matches wrong in the first week.

4/43 with a margin of 191. i honeslty thought the prelims would be closer.

Good effort!

Yeah, I though Hawks v. Saints was going to be closer. But the Hawks dominance should hopefully make for a great Grand Final!

Yeah we can get a ladder no dramas. I was hoping we'd get a ton more people participating because I reckon our finals tipping is better than most because it punishes you if you get tips wrong in the early rounds - next year we shall (with more prizes etc).

Well, this comp was the only one i could find for the finals, thats why i signed up. I love tipping. Never anything to do over summer though except for fantasy cricket.

It Has been an awesome comp to fellas

Well done Adam Cooney. His Brownlow win was awesome and well deserved. Cant understand how Bartell didnt poll alot more votes, there were games where he got 30+ touches and didnt get a vote. Looking forward to Saturdays game, could be raining to which will make for an interesting game. Go the North Ballarat Roosters on Friday night.
