It is amazing that the one club which had a deal with the TAC is also the one club which seems to suffer so many car-related charges.

The latest involves Heath Shaw crashing into a stationary vehicle while driving drunk (0.14% BAC). Interestingly enough, with the finals only 4 weeks away and collingwoods position in the 8 on the ropes - they decided not to suspend him as that would be the "easy option". I guess they are going to have to come up with something good, because i'm not sure writers like Caroline Wilson will be too impressed if he just cops a fine!

Either way at least Dreamteam coaches with Shaw in their team (myself included) can breathe easy... I cannot afford to trade him out thats for sure!

For once I actually agree with Demetriou - Heath Shaw is pretty 'stupid' for doing this. Why would any high profile AFL player do this? Don't they have enough money to catch a taxi home at the very least? It's just not worth it in so many ways.

And on that, what's he doing getting smashed on a Sunday night after the Pies lost and are placed perilously on the verge of dropping out of the top 8? Pretty disappointing for all Magpie fans I'd imagine.

Pies are playing like they don't need these two.  Potential trade bait in the off-season?

Hmmm... Heath Shaw has been a huge disappointment this year, but he has so much potential at his best. Didak... yeah, I could see him leaving easily.

It's funny how teams lift when their stars cannot play. A lot of time the stars are "kicked to" even when they aren't on, so having them out gives others a chance to step up. I reckon these two will definitely return for the finals and I guess we can judge then the impact they have and if Collingwood wants them to stay. I suspect they will stay.
